Terms & Community Guidelines
These Terms & Community Guidelines (“Terms”) govern your use of the Journex app and related services, including the news feed, saved content, nutrition features, subscriptions, and community. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Subscriptions, roles, and badges
Journex may offer optional monthly subscriptions that unlock features and/or visual badges in the app. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and automatically renew unless cancelled.
- Verified (monthly): A subscription that provides premium access and displays a Verified seal (typically a gray checkmark) in certain community contexts.
- Informant (monthly): A subscription tier that may include Verified benefits. Informant creator access can require additional approval (see below).
- Informant approval: If Journex offers an Informant application/review process, purchasing a subscription does not guarantee approval. We may approve, deny, or revoke Informant creator status at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or community guidelines.
- Badges are informational: Badges or seals are intended to indicate subscription tier and/or creator status. They are not a guarantee of identity, qualifications, accuracy, or endorsement by Journex.
Manage or cancel: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions). If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period.
Restore purchases: If a subscription is not reflected in the app, use the in-app restore purchases option, if available.
2. Apple standard EULA
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”) also applies, and these Terms are intended to supplement it. In the event of a conflict, the Standard EULA will govern to the extent required. You can review the Standard EULA here: Apple Standard EULA.
3. No objectionable or abusive content
Journex has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, share, or promote:
- Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats
- Discriminatory content targeting any group or individual
- Explicit sexual content or nudity
- Graphic or glorified violence
- Any content intended to harm, intimidate, or degrade others
4. Content, saved items, and third-party materials
Journex may show articles, links, headlines, summaries, and other materials from third parties (“Third-Party Content”). Third-Party Content is provided for informational purposes only.
- No endorsement: We do not endorse Third-Party Content and are not responsible for its accuracy, completeness, or availability.
- Your responsibility: You are responsible for how you use information from the app. Always verify important information from primary sources.
- Saved content: If the app lets you save or bookmark items, those saves are for your personal use within the app. Availability may change if the underlying Third-Party Content changes or is removed.
5. Respectful use
Journex is for fitness, health news, nutrition, and wellness. Keep community posts on-topic, constructive, and respectful. Do not use the app to:
- Spam or promote unrelated products or services
- Share misleading or harmful information
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
6. Your responsibility
You are responsible for what you post and share. Only post content you have the right to share, and avoid uploading sensitive personal information (yours or others’) that you would not want made public.
7. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement
If you see content that violates these Terms, please use the in-app Report feature on posts or comments, or contact us through Settings → Contact Us in the app.
We may review and act on reported content by removing content, limiting features, or suspending or banning accounts that engage in repeated or serious violations. Response times may vary based on volume and severity.
8. Removal of your own content
You may remove your own posts or comments at any time using the delete or edit tools provided in the app, where available. Removing content does not prevent us from acting on prior violations if necessary.
9. No medical advice
Content in Journex—including news articles, saved links, and community posts—is for general information and wellness only. It is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your health.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Community Guidelines from time to time. If we make changes, we will update this page and may notify you in the app. Your continued use of Journex means you accept the updated Terms.
